Terms of use
These terms cover your use of the Dipity app, made by Coracle Social LLC ("Coracle", "we"). By using Dipity you agree to them. If you don't agree, please don't use the app.
Effective October 7, 2026.
What Dipity is
Dipity is software that runs on your phone and exchanges posts directly with other phones nearby. There is no Dipity service in the middle. We don't host, receive, review or store anything you or anyone else posts. Each person's phone holds and shares content on its own.
Your content
What you post is yours, and you are responsible for it. By posting, you understand that your post is handed to the phones your settings allow, that those people can keep and copy it, and that it can't be fully withdrawn once shared.
Acceptable use
Please don't use Dipity to:
- break the law, or encourage anyone else to;
- harass, threaten, impersonate or stalk anyone;
- share content that exploits or endangers children;
- share nudity, sexual content or graphic violence;
- share other people's private information without their permission;
- flood your neighbours with spam, or interfere with other people's phones.
Because there's no central service, we can't remove content from other people's phones or suspend anyone's account. The tools for keeping your board pleasant are in your hands: you can mute, block or forget anyone, and choose whose posts your phone accepts.
Your key
Your identity is a key stored on your phone. Nobody, including us, can recover it for you if it's lost, or revoke it if it's stolen. Keeping it safe, and backed up if you want to, is up to you.
No warranty
Dipity is provided as it is, without warranties of any kind. We don't promise that it will always work, that posts will reach anyone in particular, or that it will be free of errors. Delivery depends on Bluetooth, on phones being near each other, and on the people who carry them.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, Coracle is not liable for any indirect, incidental or consequential damages, or for any loss of data, arising from your use of Dipity or from content other people share through it.
Changes
We may update these terms. When we do, we'll post the new version here and change the date above. Continuing to use Dipity after a change means you accept the new terms.
